To the north, the majestic Chugach mountain range and the impressive Bering Glacier can be seen beyond the meadows, which change throughout the season from wildflowers in August to fall colors in September. To the south, the sweeping grass dunes and meadows stretch across the scene in beautiful undulating lines.
If you want to take a break from fishing or to wait out a storm, the peaceful Observation Lounge offers many options to pass the time. A game table can be used for cards, board games or puzzles. A well-equipped fly-tying bench gives you the opportunity to tie your own flies. Imagine the thrill of learning to tie a fly and then catching a big-fighting silver salmon the next day! Comfortable chairs are great for reading and enjoying a nice warm wood fire.
